چکیده

The rigid cell wall of Chlorella vulgaris (Trebouxiophyceae) is probably composed of chitin-Iike substance. Chitinase isolated from Streptomyces griseus is able to split covalent linkages on isolated microfibrils. On cross-sections of plastic embedded cell walls the covalent linkages are "masked " by the layer of amorphous polysaccharides. The presence of cellulose in the cell wall can not be excluded. It does not dominated the rigid part. but is probably part of almost amorphous cell wall constituents located in interfibrillar matrix. Inner polysaccharidallayer of Scenedesmus quadricauda (Chlorophyceae) cell wall is composed of cellulose. Neither algenan nor reticulate layer were labelled by cellulase-gold complex. Lorica of Dinobryon divergens (Chrysophyceae) is not composed of cellulosic microfibrils as it was previously thought (FRANKE & HERTH 1973), rnicrofibrils are of chitinous nature. Cellulosic cell wall of Bumilleriopsis filiformis (Xanthophyceae) is multilayered, certain layers exhibit different intensity of labelling by cellulase-gold complex. Method of rigid cell wall polysaccharidal composition testing by cellulase-gold and chitinasegold complexes can be considerate as reliable.

Localization of polysaccharides in isolated and intact cuticles of eucalypt, poplar and pear leaves by enzyme-gold labelling.

The presence and characteristics of cuticle polysaccharides have been demonstrated by staining and spectroscopic methods, but their location in the cuticle remains unclear. Furthermore, according to the prevailing model, polysaccharides are believed to be restricted to the cuticular layer and absent in the cuticle proper. With the aim of gaining insight into cuticular ultra-structure focussing ...

Synthesis, Molecular Docking and Cytotoxic Activity Evaluation of Organometallic Thiolated Gold(I) Complexes

The complex [(PhCH2NC)AuCl], 1, was prepared by the reaction of [(Me2S)AuCl], A, with an equimolar amount of benzyl isocyanide (PhCH2NC) ligand. Through a salt metathesis reaction, the chloride ligand in 1 was replaced by potassium benzothiazole-2-thiolate (Kbt) and potassium benzoimidazole-2-thiolate (Kbi) to a...

Effect of white rot basidiomycetes on chemical composition and in vitro digestibility of oat straw and alfalfa stems.

Five white rot basidiomycetes were evaluated for their potential to improve ruminal degradation of oat straw and alfalfa stems. Phanerochaete chrysosporium (PC), Scytinostroma galactinum (SG), Phlebia tremellosa (PT), Phellinus pini (PP), and Pholiota mutabilis (PM) were incubated on oat straw and alfalfa stems for 30 d at 28 degrees C and 90% relative humidity. Detergent fiber and total fiber ...

Hydrogen sensing by localized surface plasmon resonance in colloidal solutions of Au-WO3-Pd

Nowadays, hydrogen has attracted significant attention as a next generation clean energy source. Hydrogen is highly flammable, so detection of hydrogen gas is required. Gold nanoparticle based localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) is an advanced and powerful sensing technique, which is well known for its high sensitivity to surrounding refractive index change in the local environment. We p...
